My 1st Pop-Up Boutique
It should come as no surprise to ya’ll that I have somewhat of a shopping problem! I worked retail for almost ten years, and over the years I have accumulated quite the collection of clothes and accessories. 2020 helped a lot of us reevaluate our closets, and inspired us to clean out, and simplify our lives. This past summer I worked diligently to remove the items from my wardrobe that hadn’t seen the light of day. I wanted to compile these new and gently used clothes into something fun and useful for my family and friends! That’s where my idea of a pop-up boutique began.
For weeks I tagged and marked prices on clothes, putting crazy reasonable prices on them. We’re talking name brands anywhere from $5-$10! I really wanted to give people good deals on great clothes, but more importantly, I wanted them to come out, and just have fun!
A fun girls night out was the theme of this pop-up, so I had to include one of my favorite gals ever! My good friend Cindy is a professional photographer, turned jewelry designer. Her clay earrings are stunning, and they have totally taken off! Everyone I know wants a pair of her earrings! When she first started her jewelry endeavor, I told her she would be the next Kendra Scott. I truly believe she’s headed in that direction! I’m wearing her earrings here and I adore all her designs!
Its plain to see, my girl Cindy is extremely talented with her jewelry making skills! She totally brought the glitz factor to our pop-up party! Check out more of her work over on Clover & Clay Designs. I promise you’re going to want more than one pair!
Cute earrings weren’t the only handmade jewelry piece at my Pop-Up Boutique. My husband and I have been creating these bullet necklaces over the summer, and we’re so pleased with how they have turned out!
When you walked through the barn doors at the beautiful Chapman Farmstead venue, you were greeted with a sanitize station and refreshments. I love when you go into a boutique or a nice store, and they offer you something to drink. It can be something as simple as sparkling water, but it makes all the difference to me as a shopper! I feel like everyone who came out had such a fun time sipping and shopping the evening away!
I have to give a shout out to a few people that made my first Pop-Up Boutique the success that it was! For starters, my sissy gets sister of the year award. She flew down from Indiana, to help me organize and get party ready! Not to mention all the work she put in before the event. She is my rock and BFF, without her I would not be able to pull off half the crazy stuff I do! A huge thanks to my cousin Erin, she checked people out and bagged their purchases. I’m horrible with math and money, so I owe her one big time!
Thank you to my good friend Cindy, for partnering with me on this fun event! Also, thank you to Chapman Farmstead for the venue. If you are in the market for a beautiful venue nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains, look no further than Chapman Farmstead! And lastly, thank you to every single lady that came out and supported myself, as well as Clover & Clay Designs. We hope ya’ll had as much fun as we did
