Do you ever get that hankering to just take off for a good ol’ fashioned mountain trip? My good friend and I live for the mountains. We are so blessed to live in the beautiful state of North Carolina, where we are surrounded by sweet little mountain towns.

If you haven’t visited the very small, but quaint town of Little Switzerland, then you must add it to your next weekend getaway. This is the perfect place to escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
Little Switzerland Dining
Once you make it to the mountain top, you’re going to want to dine at the Little Switzerland Cafe. Oh so cute, and nestled in a small village with two other shops beside it… blink and you will miss it!
If you’re looking for another dining option, well there is only one other spot. Switzerland Inn has a precious restaurant, with stunning mountain views. I suggest eating at the Cafe, then heading over to the Inn for a glass of wine, alfresco.
Little Switzerland Shopping
Pretty sure this bookstore was the most charming bookstore I’ve ever been in. I know I could have cozied up in this bookstore all day. The vintage book section really sucks me in. Be sure to swing by Little Switzerland Books & Beans.
Crabtree Falls
Planning a little adventure during your mountain getaway? Look no further than ten mins off the Blue Ridge Parkway, there is an easy trail to beautiful Crabtree Falls. One of the most stunning waterfalls I’ve ever seen in North Carolina. This hike is for people of all ages, and oh so worth it! This would be the most perfect fall activity.
