Roundin’ Out Summer ⚾️
Labor Day Weekend has been one of my most carefree weekends of summer. That makes it all that much harder to say goodbye to a really sweet season of life. Like everyone else, I feel like our summer has been jam packed with something to do and somewhere to be each and every weekend. I live for the busy bee life, but taking this much needed break this weekend did my heart good.
This summer, we have filled a couple of our weekends, with trips to Georgia to visit my sister and brother-n-law. I’ve absolutely fell in love with the charming downtowns in GA. My sister and I love to stroll along the main streets, and go into every boutique we see, coffee in hand of course!
If you haven’t taken a road trip to Georgia, then I urge you to put it on your quick trip list! Be prepared for great southern food, but more importantly good Ol’ southern hospitality! Everyone in Georgia is so gosh darn nice!
MARIETTA, GEORGIA
I’ve visited downtown Marietta a few times now, and I’m completely smitten with this quaint town. No matter the weekend, there is always something to do! Marietta Square is truly a family oriented place, where festivals and live music happen almost weekly. There’s also so much history to discover here in Georgia! My number one piece of advice… bring a hat! The sun is always shining bright down here in GA!
We rounded out our LBW with an Atlanta Braves baseball game. First timer here for a Braves game, and holy cow I had so much fun! Safe to say, that won’t be my last Braves game. We went for an evening game, and I loved the atmosphere of the stadium after the sun went down.
If you’re like me, you’re both happy and sad to see summer go. I feel like this summer was one for the record books. Here’s to hoping next years is equally as sweet!
