Savannah, Georgia
Just a southern gal visiting the most southern city there ever was. Welcome to my Savannah blog post. Savannah has all the southern charm one can imagine bottled up into this relatively small city. The locals create the most inviting atmosphere, the one where you just want to linger a little longer. The mossy oak trees make you want to be outside and stay outside even in the sweltering Savannah heat!
I’m no history buff, but I couldn’t visit this historical town without doing a colonial house tour. We opted for the Owens Thomas House being that it is one of the most well known. This tour was full of interesting facts. My favorite part; wandering through the courtyard garden at the end!
If you are the thrill seeking type, then book a ghost tour at dusk to the Sorrell Weed House. This haunted mansion proves that spirits still linger in Savannah.
To get the real Savannah experience I think its necessary to do a horse drawn carriage ride. It transports you to a simpler time, and it’s a bonus that you get to beat the heat while seeing more of Savannah.
After your carriage ride, grab a beer and a bowl of chowder at Six Pence Pub. This restaurant never disappoints, and the atmosphere is so cozy. Not to mention there’s a lot of cute boutiques nearby!
Speaking of shopping I’m going to share my Savannah hidden gem with ya’ll. Parker’s Market, yes it’s a gas station but there’s more to it than that. Inside you will find the cutest selection of home décor, we’re talking Joanna Gaines inspired home décor! Not only that but clothes and jewelry. I literally wanted to take home one of everything in this gas station boutique!
The best part there’s a deli inside as well. If you’re in need of a quick lunch grab a cobb salad and the homemade banana pudding!
Savannah style needs to be breezy and cool.
This Target midi dress did just that! It comes in so many colors.
If its sunny out you can guarantee I’m doubling up with some kind of hat. This Gap hat is one of my favs because its light weight and has a wide brim. I’m linking a similar one {here}
Cobblestone streets call for comfy walking shoes. I’m all about these Steve Madden sneakers. These all white sneaks go with anything! {Click here for link}
I’m a Rayban girl through and through. I loved the square frame so much I got a second pair!! {Here’s the link}
I hope you find yourself wandering the streets of Savannah one day. It’s simply a town you won’t forget.
